Cory has a proven record of excellent rapport with her students! Her enthusiasm for music is contagious and she creates an environment that encourages her students to continue with their study until mastery.
Cory Lees is an accomplished, classically trained pianist and teacher. She has been teaching in her private piano studio for more than 15 years. Cory earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Piano Performance & received the University Departmental Honors Citation in Music. Additionally, Cory is a New Jersey Certified Teacher of Music.
Ms. Lees began piano study at age four with her mother then continued with Lydia Megale, Jennifer Tao, Julie Wong, Dena Levine and Sergey Krivonos. Featured performances include soloist at The Governor's Mansion, The IZOD Center and accompanist for TONY Award winner Ben Vereen.
Cory Lees served as Director of Enlow Hall at Kean University for five seasons where she presented Joshua Bell, Emanuel Ax, LeAnn Rimes, John Legend, Sutton Foster, Branford Marsalis & many more highly acclaimed musicians. Prior to serving as Director of Enlow Hall, Cory worked in development throughout Lincoln Center at The Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera and the New York Philharmonic. A passion for teaching music, Cory has held the positions of Vocal Music Teacher & Choral Director at a performing arts middle school.
New to living in Manahawkin with her husband and toddler son, Cory looks forward to working with piano students of all levels in the Ocean County area.
